Dear Friends,
I am writing to ask your business to be a part of the 4th Annual “Ding” Darling Doc Ford’s Tarpon Tournament by becoming a sponsor this year. With 50 boats, 200+ anglers, nearly $25,000 in cash prizes and more than $45,000 to support conservation efforts at the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Refuge was raised last year. This fourth year promises to be even better!
Scheduled for the weekend of May 8 and 9, 2015, the Captain’s/angler’s meeting with more than 200 people in attendance is May 8 where all sponsors and participants are invited to attend and enjoy food, drinks and a silent auction. The following morning, May 9, is the actual tournament and that evening is the “Silver King for Ding” After Party for the anglers, sponsors and the general public. Awards, food, drinks, live music and an auction will be a part of the festivities.
As a sponsor, you would be joining Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille, Diversified Yacht Services of Ft. Myers Beach, Sanibel Bean and a handful of other sponsors as well as a few nationally recognized anglers supporting this tournament.
The J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge is the location of the first recorded Tarpon caught and it is fitting that the Friends of the Refuge hosts a tarpon tournament to benefit the refuge and its work in protecting the wildlife on land in the water.
This Tarpon Tournament celebrates Southwest Florida’s history of Tarpon fishing and overall conservation and wildlife protection through this tournament. You and your business would be a great partner to have along on this journey!
With 100% of the entry fees going back into the winnings, the only way this tournament makes money for the refuge is through sponsorships and donations.
Please consider showing your support of our organization and goals by becoming a 2015 Sponsor, which is also tax-deductible. A list of the sponsorship opportunities is included.
Thank you for your consideration of support.
We hope you will become a part of our 2015 Tarpon Tournament!
